Dr Missry

Dr. John Missry earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Missry completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Missry also completed a fellowship in cornea, external dissection and refractive surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Missry is Board Certified in ophthalmology. Dr. Missry is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Missry was also awarded the Benjamin Franklin scholar award from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Missry is self-employed and has been in practice in the Pittsburgh area since 1995.

Dr. Missry performs cataract surgery, glaucoma laser surgery (SLT), and YAG laser procedures at the Waterfront Surgery Center.
