Dr. Roxana Barad earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkley and her medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. She interned at Pacific Medical Center and then completed her eye residency training at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University.
Dr. Barad is Board Certified in Ophthalmology. She is currently a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Allegheny County Medical Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr. Barad is in practice at the Pittsburgh Eye Associates. Dr. Barad has been in practice in the Pittsburgh area since 1985.
Dr. Barad performs cataract surgery, multifocal lens implants, glaucoma laser surgery (SLT), YAG laser procedures, and blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) at the Waterfront Surgery Center.
Dr. Barad has an ownership interest in the Waterfront Surgery Center.
