Dr. Howard Wilen earned his undergraduate degree from the Polytechnic University of New York and his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the LaGuardia Hospital in New York and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Wilen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology.  He is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.  Dr. Wilen is in practice at South Hills Gastroenterology Associates.  Dr. Wilen has been in practice in the Pittsburgh area since 1987.

Dr. Wilen performs colonoscopies, EGDs, hemorrhoid banding, and Bravo testing at the Waterfront Surgery Center.

Dr. Wilen has an ownership interest in the Waterfront Surgery Center.
